Cala Coves

Cala Coves - Alaior - Menorca

Cala Coves

A small-pebbled beach found on the south coast of Menorca that offers excellent snorkeling and diving. Although Cala Coves is more of a tourist attraction due to the steep rocky cliffs that contain more than 100 burial caves cut into the limestone.

The caves date back to the pre-talaiotic period and some of which can be explored on foot. There are no facilities here so come with plenty of water and a picnic. The Romans used this as the first harbour in Menorca.
