Son Bou beach

Platja de Son Bou - Alaior - Menorca

Son Bou beach

Son Bou beach is arguably one of Menorca’s best beaches, situated on the south coast. A long 3km stretch of soft golden sand flanked by rugged volcanic headlands. The beach was awarded a blue flag beach award in 2016 for its high quality and safety standards and its perfect for those with families.

There are some great activities on offer such as paddle boat or kayak hire but for those adrenaline junkies you can try kite surfing or the giant inflatable aqua assault course with climbing wall, trampolines, rollers and slides.

There are several good quality restaurants on the beach providing a good range of food and drinks with the bonus of a takeaway service.

Towards the rear of the beach is a large protected wetlands area where many species of wild birds can be seen. There are several lifeguards posted along the beach to ensure safe bathing and a flag system is in operation.
