Getting to Menorca by air

Flying to Menorca from the UK takes approximately 2 hours 30 minutes. There are currently seventeen airports in the UK with scheduled flights to Menorca during the year. Menorca’s only airport in located on the east side of the island on the outskirts of the capital Mahon.

From April to October, you can fly direct to Menorca from the following UK airports:

Aberdeen (ABZ), Belfast (BFS), Birmingham (BHX), Belfast (BFS), Cardiff (CWL), East Midlands (EMA), Edinburgh (EDI), Glasgow (GLA), Inverness (INV), Jersey (JER), London City (LCY), London Gatwick (LGW), London Heathrow (LHR), Luton (LTN), London Stansted (STN), Liverpool (LPL), Manchester (MAN), Newcastle (NCL).

From November to March, you can fly direct to Menorca from only London Gatwick with the airline easyJet. Alternatively, you can fly via Barcelona, Madrid, or Valencia in Spain or via Palma in Majorca from various airports in the UK.

From Menorca’s airport you are just 10-15 minutes away by taxi to the capital Mahon or 20 minutes by bus to the main bus station in Mahon, with connection to the rest of the island.

Getting to Menorca by ferry

There are two main ferry companies that link mainland Spain and Menorca.

Acciona-Trasmediterránea
Acciona-Trasmediterránea operates ferries from Barcelona and Valencia in Spain to Menorca. A journey from Barcelona takes around 9hrs, from Valencia takes around 14hrs and from Palma in Majorca takes around 5hrs.

Baleària operates ferries to Menorca from Alcudia (Majorca) and Barcelona (Spain). They operate super fast ferries and normal ferries. Journeys from Majorca can range from 1hr by super fast ferry to 3.45hrs by normal ferry. Journeys from Barcelona can range from 4hrs by super fast ferry to 8.30hrs by normal ferry.
